I don't want a hamburger..... I want McDonald's....

Yesterday I took two of our boys to the dentist. Our ten year old to have his last two baby teeth pulled. They were stubborn and needed some help...kind of like their owner. I was told the boys could only eat soft foods, nothing crunchy. The lady at the office suggested hamburgers. Great... I'll run to the store and get the stuff, I have been so excited lately to cook on the grill. It's that time of year again. On, the way home I tell the boys the plan, Collin is numb and has a mouth full of gauze so he writes down everything he is thinking, which consisted of "I don't want hamburgers." Ok, we will have hamburgers I say and what would you like. It took about 30 minutes and he comes up with McDonald's... Can you believe it. There is nothing better than a homemade burger on the grill, so I said no you don't get to eat out while the others have to eat at home. (we have 5 kids) So we scrapped the whole plan went straight home and had shepherds pie, which Collin didn't eat that either because he doesn't eat mashed potatoes. He ended up with a turkey sandwich. Hey the kids are all at school today so maybe I'll run to the store and grill hamburgers tonight. Show him how much better mom's burger is than a McDonald's burger. Until next time......
